“Innovative Collaboration Aims to Empower Youth and Foster Inclusivity in Local Governance”
The Rural Municipality of Rajpur in Dang district has established its very first Youth Council, supported by HWEPC. This initiative, a collaboration between the Lumbini Province Youth Council and Rajpur RM, is a testament to the power of youth engagement and community-driven progress.
Comprising 11 members representing both ward-level and RM-level networks, as well as eight members from various departments within Rajpur RM, the Youth Council embodies a diverse and inclusive representation of youth from different backgrounds and sectors. This milestone was made possible through the integration of the Youth Council Formation Act into Rajpur RM’s policy, with crucial support from the Strømme Foundation/ SEEDS program.
